Great Reef Census
At Cotton On, we recognise the importance of connecting our customers to the work
of Cotton On Foundation... and this year we’ve found a way to bring them even closer.
Out of 6,000+ entries, five lucky and loyal Perks Members (and their friends) won an incredible trip to the
Great Barrier Reef to witness – firsthand – the positive impact their collective contributions had on the Reef.
Because in 10 years’ time, they won’t remember that extra 10% off, but they will remember
the time they snorkelled the awe-inspiring Great Barrier Reef.
Since 2022, Cotton On Foundation has partnered with Citizens of the Reef and the Reef Cooperative to help restore and protect the Great Barrier Reef. Citizens of the Reef have a unique ability to bring people together through impactful, scalable projects that address the rapid decline of coral reefs worldwide.
The Great Reef Census is one of their flagship initiatives that combines science, AI and people power to enable everyday citizens to survey and protect the reef providing critical data that targets conservation efforts on reefs where they will have the greatest impact.

Dive right into the action. Become a citizen scientist with the 2025 Great Reef Census by analysing real reef images online. Your insights provide scientists and conservationists the data they need to protect the Great Barrier Reef and respond to urgent threats.
